African Coral Aloe Plant (aloe striata)

$24.00

A Striking South African Species, Aloe striata forms broad, symmetrical rosettes of smooth, blue-green leaves edged in subtle pink to coral tones. Unlike many aloes, the leaf margins are completely smooth, without teeth, giving the plant a clean, sculptural look. In late winter through spring, tall branched flower stalks rise above the foliage carrying clusters of vivid coral-orange blooms that attract pollinators and create a strong seasonal display. This aloe grows to about 2 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide, making it well suited for containers, patios, and dry landscape plantings. It performs best in full sun to bright light, where the leaf color intensifies and the margins develop richer blush tones. Excellent drainage is essential, as with most succulents, and watering should be moderate, allowing the soil to dry between cycles.Aloes thrive in-pots or in-ground where other plants struggle. Full sun, sandy soil, irregular watering, they’re completely comfortable in those conditions. That makes them ideal for low-water landscapes. Once established, aloe asks for very little. No constant pruning, no frequent feeding, and minimal pest issues. Smaller varieties are ideal for bright indoor windowsills and succulent dish gardens whereas larger varieties are impressive outdoors on the patio or inground. Due to the brittle nature of some Aloe species, please take care when unpacking as this is typically when most plant damage occurs. Should damage occur, simply continue to care for the plant as it will continue to produce new leaves and grow.
