Lg. Red Turks Cap Shrub (malvaviscus arboreus)

$29.99

Red Turk’s Cap Shrub (Malvaviscus arboreus) is a spreading tropical shrub known for its vibrant red, 2 to 3 inch pendant flowers. The hibiscus-like blooms never fully open, forming a loose tubular shape that hangs like small ornaments along the stems.
These distinctive flowers are highly attractive to birds and butterflies, adding seasonal activity to the garden. The plant can grow as tall as it is wide, reaching up to approximately 9 feet in height at maturity, forming a broad, full shrub.
It performs well in shadier areas of the landscape and adapts nicely to patio containers. Blooming typically occurs from summer through fall, providing extended color during the warmer months. In cooler regions, it adapts well to container growing and can be moved indoors when temperatures drop. USDA Zones 9b–11
