Top Seller, Monstera Obliqua Plant (peru form)

$59.88

Monstera obliqua (Peru form) is widely regarded as the benchmark for extreme fenestration within the genus Monstera obliqua. Often described as the “king of fenestrations,” this form is distinguished by leaves that contain dramatically more opening than solid tissue. Mature foliage develops textbook perforations of exceptional size, creating a highly skeletal structure. The blade is delicate and intricately divided, with narrow strands of leaf tissue forming the framework between large, irregular openings. Despite its airy appearance, the plant maintains a defined structure through short petioles that hold the leaves close to the stem, resulting in a compact, dense presentation along the vine.
When cultivated with vertical support such as a moss pole or totem, internode spacing reduces and leaf size increases significantly. Climbing growth encourages stronger maturation and more pronounced skeletal characteristics.
This variety performs best in bright, indirect light with consistent moisture and well-draining substrate. Vigorous and responsive when properly supported, Monstera obliqua (Peru form) develops into a refined, architectural specimen with established root systems and exceptional mature foliage. Outdoors 10a to 12b
